About Me
Hi, I'm Monique!
I am a Software Engineer turned Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer. I really enjoy taking complex topics and making them accessible and easy for almost anyone to learn! My ultimate goal is to immerse the user in a learning experience that was so well created, that they actually enjoy the process of learning!

It's hard to overstate the impact Monique had as a contract instructional designer for our team at CEO. She exceeded all expectations—not only was she QUICK and knowledgeable, but she also demonstrated a masterful ability to apply sound learning principles to transform training that was in dire need of improvement.
Monique brought a holistic perspective to our project, which proved invaluable. She worked on multiple training modules for our compliance department, identifying areas where content could be combined and streamlined. Her approach wasn't just about improving one or two trainings—it was about creating a comprehensive, scaffolded structure that reduced cognitive load for employees while maintaining (and even enhancing) the effectiveness of the material. It's a tedious task to review content you didn't write, and identify patterns and connections and make something effective but she did.
By cutting redundancies and aligning the content to stack seamlessly together, Monique was able to eliminate unnecessary volume while ensuring every element contributed meaningfully to the learners' experience. This was exactly what we asked for and she delivered. She saw the big picture while focusing on the details, bought into our overall goals and helped us achieve them. She was also able to push and negotiate with subject matter experts to get them to align training with our standards, not jam pack more things in and give her feedback in a timely manner. She was great to work with. Pleasant, funny and made things easy, especially for our many stakeholders.
